Open Space And Planned Development
The specific purposes of the open space and planned development district are to identify and protect public lands, including those subject to public open space easements, identify and protect private lands that are subject to private open space easements, implement the goals and policies of the general plan natural resources element and protect citizens from flood, erosion, landslide hazards by classifying land prone to one hundred year floods, lands with slopes in excess of twenty percent as open space, intended to facilitate development of properties designated for residential and commercial uses and for those areas designated as mixed use neighborhood overlay areas in the general plan
