Residential And Commercial Planned Development District
The purpose of the Residential Planned Development (RPD) District is to provide land owners a development option for increased flexibility consistent with the goals, policies, and objectives of the comprehensive plan, if they comply with the provisions of the comprehensive plan, and the project will not have an adverse economic, environmental, fiscal, or social impact to surrounding lands and the Village. The principal types of development allowed in the RPD District are permanent year-round residential dwelling units, along with limited commercial development that primarily serves the residents of the RPD, The purpose of the Commercial Planned Development (CPD) District is to provide lands and development options to accommodate commercial and office development with amenities, along with multiple-family, townhouse, live/work, hotel/motel, health care facilities, and other limited institutional development. Flexibility is provided, with an expectation that development quality will surpass what is otherwise achievable through the conventional zoning districts.
