Single Family Residential Planned Development

The purpose of the R1 zone is to stabilize and protect the residential characteristics of district and to promote and encourage a suitable environment for family. The R1 zone is intended to be used only for single-family homes and service appurtenant thereto. The purpose of the PD planned development combining district is to provide for greater flexibility in the design of integrated development in context with the general character of the city which would not be otherwise possible through strict interpretation or application of district regulations.
