The CC-1 Central Commercial Zone is established to preserve and grow the commercial heart of Payson Effective growth is accomplished by enhancing the pedestrian experience and downtown environment This is done through pedestrian connectivity, transit-oriented development, establishment of third place or places for people to visit and socialize, architecture that engages with street life, and the creation of a walkable urban core with uses in close proximity Any development should be consistent with a downtown feel and be compatible with the historic nature of the area Uses should contribute to vibrant and continuous street life
