The intent of the R-1A district is to provide a more intense residential zoning than the R-1 district, with distinctions primarily in lot area, width, and density. The nature of property use remains similar to that in the R-1 district, but densities in the R-1A district shall not exceed 2.5 dwelling units per gross acre. This district is permitted only in the low-density and medium-density residential land use categories.
