The M-2 Zone is intended to accommodate manufacturing, processing, storage, and similar industrial uses, including those which may create some objectionable conditions, subject to the regulations needed to control congestion and to protect the surrounding area or adjoining premises. This zone provides for manufacturing, processing, assembly, research, wholesale and storage uses, trucking terminals, railroad facilities, and public and quasi-public uses, and similar and compatible uses. This zone implements the Heavy Industrial General Plan Land Use Designation
