The purpose of the RMX zone is to allow a mix of residential and commercial uses as a matter of right, and to preserve the residential character of neighborhoods while encouraging the development of neighborhood-oriented ground-floor retail and service uses. The Del Paso Boulevard/Arden Way SPD zoning regulations are intended to assist in the preservation of the economic climate in these neighborhoods through the retention of existing businesses while accommodating new development.
