Medium Density Residential
The R2 zoning district is applied to areas appropriate for medium density residential development with a mixture of housing types, including single family homes, duplexes, and multi family residential projects. The development standards and permit requirements of the R2 district are intended to preserve existing neighborhoods while providing for additional compatible development. Permitted densities range from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 14 units per acre. The R2 zoning district is primarily intended to implement the Medium Density Residential land use designation of the General Plan.
