GTS

The intended purpose of the GTS, gateway tourist service district is to concentrate specific types of land uses which together will serve the traveling public and encourage and promote the city as a tourist destination and service center. This purpose is consistent with the citys master plan which recommends the (GTS), gateway tourist service district to attract, encourage and promote visits to other city businesses and attractions and to service motorists and tourists with quality facilities at a gateway location. New development in the (GTS), gateway tourist service district is intended to establish a visual appearance, quality and character through careful coordination of permitted uses, appearance and landscape treatment compatible with the existing natural environment and to preserve the scenic qualities within the district.
