Commercial Medium Intensity Office Professional Limited Retail Service And Multi Dwelling Medium Density
The C-2 district facilitates and encourages development of those uses which provide retail and service activities as a convenience to adjacent neighborhoods and whose use generally serves a population of 5000 to 30000. Larger scale, higher intensity business and professional service activities (doctors office, hair salon) are included in this zoning district. No goods or merchandise are prepared or sold on the premises, with the exception of those activities that serve the primary use. Access to streets that are a collector or higher designation is recommended. This development should be compatible with low density multi-dwelling districts, high density multi-dwelling districts and medium intensity commercial districts. The R-3 zoning districts should be located on roadways classified as major local or above to avoid undue traffic congestion in lower density areas.
