Light Industrial Zone
The purpose of the light industrial zone is to provide for the community needs for wholesale trade, storage and warehousing, trucking and transportation terminals, light manufacturing and similar activities. The zone must be adjacent to major transportation facilities yet arranged to minimize adverse effects on residential development, therefore, some type of screening may be necessary. Due to the intensity of land use, these areas require primary transportation routes, adequate sewage disposal services, water supply, fire and police services and consideration given to the potential public transportation access.
