Airport Transition Zone District 1
The airport land use district is established for the purpose of regulating land, owned by the Pensacola International Airport or immediately adjacent to the airport, which is considered sensitive due to its relationship to the runways and its location within noise zones A and B. Land zoned ARZ is owned by the city and allows only open space, recreational or commercial and industrial uses customarily related to airport operations. The areas designated as airport transitional zones are permitted a range of uses.
