The WP-1 district is established in order to identify and provide those geographic areas within the city that are appropriate for the development and maintenance of a light industrial, office, manufacturing and warehousing environment. The purpose of this district is to provide light, clean industrial development in attractively designed, park-type settings that allow for the manufacturing and or distribution of previously prepared materials or finished products or parts including the processing, fabrication, assembly, treatment and packaging of such products. Service and commercial activities relating to the character of the district and supporting its activities and employees are permitted as conditional uses, however, this district is not intended to be commercial in character.
