The suburban residential zone is intended to be applied in areas designated as suburban residential in the Trinidad general plan. It provides for single-family residential development at low densities suited to the physical capacity of the land and consistent with the density of nearby development. Public water systems are available or will be available in the near future. A second dwelling on a lot may be appropriate if the development design is consistent with neighborhood character and the lot has sufficient area to meet the density requirements for each dwelling. When combined with larger building site requirements, this zone may be suited to areas designated rural residential in the general plan.
