Public Quasi Public And Institutional Lands And Facilities Zone And Protected Ridgeline Overlay
The Public, Quasi Public, and Institutional Lands and Facilities Zone is established to ensure that the public, quasi public, and institutional use of property is related to the purposes and policies of the land use element of the General Plan, to recognize the public, quasi public and institutional nature of particular parcels of land and provide standards and guidelines for their continued use and future development and to ensure that proposed public, quasi public and institutional structures and developments in the zone will be compatible with surrounding zones and uses with respect to adequate vehicular access and circulation, off street parking, architectural and site design, landscaping and other features and ridgeline preservation overlay zone and regulations of this article are also enacted to implement those policies of the Citys General Plan for the preservation of significant natural land forms, the maintenance and preservation of open space and the protection of the scenic backdrop to the Citys major roadways.
