The purpose of the RMX zone is to allow a mix of residential and commercial uses as a matter of right, and to preserve the residential character of neighborhoods while encouraging the development of neighborhood-oriented ground-floor retail and service uses. The Intent of Airport overlay zone is to protect the health, safety and general welfare of people in the vicinity of the Sacramento Executive Airport and to improve air navigation safety.
