The purpose of the Historic Park District (HP) is to promote the public health, safety and general welfare within the district by Creating a cohesive, identifiable character for the Historic Park District, Allowing site organization which takes best advantage of the districts location, surroundings and historic setting, Minimizing conflicts between pedestrians and automobiles and creating convenient public parking areas which are as unobtrusive as possible, Providing for historical settings, buildings, structures, exhibits, landscaping, trails and reenactment activities and related uses in keeping with historical themes
