The General Industrial (M-2) District is intended to accommodate certain industrial structures and uses, including large-scale or very specialized industrial operations, having external physical effects which may be offensive or hazardous to some degree to any adjoining district. This district should be buffered and adjoining uses protected by interspacing an Open Space (OS) District or other positive, protective means. Regulations are structured to permit the processing of raw materials, and the manufacturing, processing and compounding of semi-finished products.
