Light Industrial
Light Industry Zoning District is established to encourage the establishment of light industrial uses in locations that are suitable and appropriate, taking into consideration land uses on adjacent and nearby properties, access to major streets and highways, rail services and other means of transportation, and availability of public utilities, to encourage manufacturing uses that can be operated in a relatively clean, quiet, and safe manner, without producing objectionable effects that would impose hazards to adjacent and nearby properties by reason of smoke, soot, dust, odor, radiation, noise, vibrations, heat, glare, toxic fumes, or other conditions that would adversely affect the public health, safety, convenience, and general welfare and to allow heavy commercial but not residential uses compatible with light industrial uses.
